At VML MAP, we’re looking for a Performance Intelligence Consultant who thrives at the intersection of data, strategy, and storytelling. You'll play a key role in helping our clients optimize performance across digital channels and drive real business results.

What will your day look like?

As Performance Intelligence Consultant, you'll be at the forefront of data-driven decision-making and play a vital role in understanding client priorities and objectives. With a foundational understanding of user experience and a strong grasp of data and analytical approaches, you’ll be the bridge between data and strategy. Your daily activities will include conducting detailed data analysis to identify performance trends, designing and executing A/B tests and analyzing the results to provide optimization recommendations. You’ll also be preparing and presenting performance reports, and your strong communication skills and storytelling abilities will ensure that actionable insights are delivered in an easily understood format, and in a way that motivates and provides a clear direction for various teams.

More specifically, your tasks include:

  • Conduct detailed data analysis to identify performance trends and insights.
  • Prepare and present performance reports and translate the complex data into actionable insights to internal teams as well as our clients, with a focus on content, audience, and channels.
  • Maintain and update performance dashboards and analytics tools.
  • Collaborate with various teams to ensure data-driven decision-making.
  • Design, execute and analyze A/B tests and experiments to identify the most effective strategies and tactics.
  • Approach all tasks with curiosity, hunger and open-mindedness, constantly striving to uncover further insights from the available data and to understand the “why” behind the numbers.

Who are you going to work with?

You'll be part of our expanding Insights & Optimization team, reporting directly to the Performance Intelligence Lead. You’ll work closely with data analysts, strategists, content experts, and client teams - acting as the vital link between technical data and business outcomes.

What do you bring to the table?

We're looking for curious minds with a strategic outlook and a passion for data. You're not just comfortable with numbers; you're adept at translating them into narratives that resonate with both technical and non-technical audiences, and you have a strong curiosity to discover the ‘why’ behind the data. Additionally, you are very collaboratively oriented, and you love working with cross-functional teams. Your expertise in detailed analysis and optimization will be instrumental in driving improvements and delivering actionable insights that enhance our daily tasks for clients.

In addition, you have:

  • Experience analyzing campaign performance across digital channels and a strong understanding of marketing performance metrics such as open-rates, click through rates, conversions and journey data.
  • Experience with data visualizations tools such as Power BI and Tableau and strong knowledge of SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and data manipulation.
  • Ability to translate complex data into understandable insights for non-technical audiences.
  • Skills in crafting compelling narratives from data insights.
  • Experience in presenting findings and recommendations to clients and/or Senior stakeholders.
  • Skills in managing expectations and building trust with clients and internal teams.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with an open mind.
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong understanding of A/B testing methodologies and tools, with hands-on experience in driving learning agendas and continuous optimization efforts.
